Graffiti Get Rid of It

Graffiti is not something to be ignored in your laundry room no matter where it is located.
It breaks two rules of successful laundry management:
1. Keep it Clean
2. Keep it Safe

Graffiti makes the laundry room look messy and uncared for. No matter how clean the place is, it visually makes the laundry room look messy. I'm sure your decoration theme doesn't include graffiti.
This is not to say you can't have graffiti artist inspired decoration or theme, that is different as it is purposely created and uniform and styled to the store. I'm talking about the random tagging and pictures drawn by vandals.

Vandalism is a crime. People see graffiti and understand that there are people around that might not be of the greatest character and that doesn't make them feel safe. This is especially in basements, darker lit laundry rooms, or areas that are not perceived as safe. If your laundry room is in a "safe area" the appearance of graffiti can often lead to people thinking that it is the first step on the area not being safe anymore. Graffiti invites more graffiti. Other criminals see the mess and think they can contribute to it so now you have more to clean up.

It might be simple "tagging" like in these pictures, or great works of art.
In either case it needs to be removed fast.
I know many laundry room managers that don't clean it up because of the expense or time needed to sand something down or "don't want to paint the whole thing," so they leave it up.
What does leaving it up say to your laundry customers?
