2022 Clean Show Video and Pics

It has been a year since the last Clean Show.
Below is a video I made using short video clips and iPhone Live pictures.
This picture is just for fun.
If you get a chance to go to a Clean Show I would recommend it highly:

If you've never been to a Clean Show here are some tips:

Wascomat=No Dryer Fires?

I attended a Wascomat equipment seminar in Milwaukee recently.
Nice display.
A management representative that was from Texas gave the presentation about the different advantages of using Wasomat equipment. When it came to the dryer line his quote was "We have never had a dryer fire with this series of equipment."
That sounded odd to me, having to had to deal with 45 dryer fires up to this point in my career.
I challenged him on it and he assured me it was true.

A couple of weeks ago I had a teleconference meeting with a Wascomat representative named Zach.
I told him what Andy said and asked why Wascomat don't have a fire suppression system on them.
Below is his response:

“Because we monitor BOTH the inlet and outlet air temperatures, and because we have a software routine that assures "COOL DOWN TEMPERATURE" as well as cool down time, the risk of fire is dramatically reduced in our machines, and so we have not endeavored to design a water based fire suppression system.

We like to think of our system as "ACTIVE FIRE PREVENTION".
* In the cold makeup-air environments of winter, water-charged fire suppression systems present a very high risk of pipes bursting.
* Our equipment is fitted with FOUR, yes FOUR temperature sensing devices, to prevent the conditions that lead to fire developing in the first place. Our inlet air sensors turn the burner off for a pre-defined time if and when the inlet air temperature reaches a preset temperature, preventing scorching, and dramatically reducing the risk of spontaneous combustion.
* Our "Cool-Down-Temperature" feature (in addition to a minimum cool-down time) ensures that the exhaust air has fallen well below a "safety temperature" before the machine ends its cycle.
* The anti-crease feature periodically tumbles the load, to prevent the concentration of energy that results in spontaneous combustion.

I don't know how to look up the stats for the country on dryer fires involving Wascomat dryers. Of the 53 laundromats I've owned or managed only three had Wascomat dryers. Those three stores never had a dryer fire when I was running them.
Thoughts?

Change Price on Huebsch Galaxy 600 washers

This is specifically for Huebsch,
however Speed Queen Quantum usually is the same.

Before starting this process on washers,
you need to open the top access panel.
On some models just opening the top will allow you to enter programming mode.

Different models you look for this jumper.
Pull it apart and reconnect it.

Then press the LIGHT and NORMAL button at the same time.
This can take a couple of tries to get the right touch.

You've got the right touch and are in the computer if you see RAPID on the screen

Press the COLD button to get to PROG (PROGRAM)
On newer machines there is an arrow on the keys that indicates UP and Down and BACK

Press START and ATS 1 should appear

Lights should automatically appear next to six buttons.
If not, press START again

Press START and price should appear

Default factory price is $1.75 Press START.
The first digit on the screen, in this case a Zero,
should start flashing.
Hit the START button until you get to the digit you want to change. In this example we want to change the One.

When you get to the digit you want to change use either the DELICATES or the COLD button to change the digit up or down. Please note that new Galaxy 600 washers should have little arrows on the buttons to indicate up and down and backwards

Once you change the first digit push START to go to the next digits and change them

NOTE NOTE NOTE NOTE NOTE NOTE
On older Huebsch or Speed Queen washers ATS 1 only sets the price for the one type of cycle not all five or six cycles. Older machines you have to program
ATS 2, ATS 3, ATS 4, ATS 5, ATS 6, etc.

Once you have all of the prices changed, press the WARM button to back out of price change option

Once out of price change option you should be back on PROG

Hit the WARM button again
and price should appear on the screen
